A fairytale, ending

When their fairytale is over, they end up here, put behind bars with the rest of the pack. They go by the names of; Beauties, Beasts, Frogs, Princesses and Jacks, names by which to categorize their particular brand of delusion. I watch and I listen and imbibe their fear as we lock them up to protect them from the big bad wolf of a world. This is an asylum for the long since lost, it’s said.  Yet I wash their worries away, attempting to up their odds for a happy ending. Luckily, all I have to do is convince them…
